The International Association for Lichenology has awarded the prestigious Acharius Medal to Kansri Boonpragob, in well-deserved recognition of her significant contributions to the field. This honor highlights her pivotal role in establishing an outstanding lichenological school in Thailand, where she has not only advanced scientific research but also mentored a new generation of lichenologists. The award was announced at the dinner during the12th International Mycological Congress (IMC12) on 11-15 August 2024 in Maastricht, the Netherlands.
