The Cabinet of Lichens
Organization: Silvana Munzi
All expert lichenologists have been beginners and have encountered similar difficulties when approaching lichens for the first time: how can I get a spore out of the ascus? How can I check in the field if the photobiont is a green alga? What is considered a good specimen? How to organize my herbarium?
This course, dedicated to beginners, was born thinking about the hours spent in the company of the many doubts raised by handling lichens, with focus on the practical difficulties of lichen identification and study.
The initiative includes webinars, Q&A sessions and the creation of a working group to better answer the needs of who is approaching lichens and plan the future activities.
Join us (virtually) in a friendly environment and bring your questions. We have been there, we can help.
Free but reserved to IAL members. To become a IAL member: https://ial-lichenology.org/membership/
Register sending an email to Silvana Munzi (email hidden; JavaScript is required), you will receive the link to participate the day before the meeting. The webinars will be recorded and made available to members not able to attend on the day.
